Every unit of work goes to a seat. An agent, a model, a person, a time.
Because the request arrived understood, sleds can route it the way a great lead would: to the person with history in that part of the codebase, the headroom to take it and the time before it's due, on the model that does this kind of work well for the least. The harness routes within the run. sleds routes between runs and between seats, before a session starts, at the wall, and at hand-off, with every decision recorded.
Not just who's free. Who's right.
Every factor comes from the record: your own actuals, your own seats, your own code.
Who has landed rows in these areas, found through the product map, and how those went against their bands.
The area's owner, and who reviewed it last. A hand-off to the owner beats a fresh pair of hands.
Percent left on each seat's bars, credits, the allowance on the platform key. The over-runner's next task goes to a seat with headroom.
The due date from intake, the binding reset, who is idle now, and whether tonight's window lands it before it's needed.
First-try CI pass, rework and parked-on-question rates for this task type, per model, in your record. Sonnet is a fifth of Fable; Haiku a tenth. "Sonnet fits" is called before the run.
What it is worth against what it will cost, and which rail pays. Nobody stated a worth? It holds and asks the filer.
Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or cmux: the hand-off lands in the cockpit the person already has open, with the snapshot.
Every actual moves the next band and the next route. Not me, a rework, a parked question: all of it feeds the recommendation.
Auto-dispatch what qualifies; everything else waits for a yes. The policy decides at the wall, not a person at 2 am.
Auto-dispatch is yours to set: for example, S or M, worth stated, 80%+ confidence dispatches without asking. Everything else waits for a yes. When someone says not me, the next seat is offered and the recommendation learns from it.
Every seat's bars, resets and hand-offs, where you already are.
The sleds extension reads your own seat as you: every model's bar, the binding reset, what came through sleds today, and work waiting for you or up for grabs. Take it with one click. The routing reads the same numbers.
A real screenshot from the extension.

Same list. Now with a price, a seat and a fit on every row.
An agent picker can list Claude, Cursor and Copilot. What it cannot say is what the work will cost on each, whether the seat can take it today, which one finishes this task type in band, or that the right answer is a person. The picker says all four, and one row is a teammate.

Never one word for three kinds of money.
Two seat platforms we read today, Claude and OpenAI. An OpenRouter key is a first-class key rail. We never build model access; the exchange is a rail, not a competitor.
| rail | what it is | who sees it today | what sleds reads |
|---|---|---|---|
| platform API key | The console key agents and CI run on. Per token, half price on the batch tier. | Finance, after the invoice. | Spend per seat, project and model, metered in the request path. The allowance at the wall. |
| seat quota | The 5-hour and weekly bars on a Claude or OpenAI seat, per model. | The person, in the app, if they look. | Percent remaining per bar, the binding reset, and a forecast of when each bar crosses at the current rate. |
| seat credits | Extra-usage dollars a seat spends past its bars. | Nobody, until the reload. | Credits used, reconciled to the cent. The spread: a few seats go over while most sit under quota. |
At 90% the seat speaks. At 100% the policy decides.
At 90% on any bar the status line and the cockpit sidebar turn amber and say the exits. At 100% the session is snapshotted and the workspace's policy chooses. Nothing stops silently, and nobody justifies a token bill after the fact.

To a teammate who owns the area or has headroom, or a buddy on another platform. The snapshot travels with the work, encrypted, expiring in seven days.
Free. The musher on your Mac resumes the session at the binding reset. +2h or an ISO time overrides it.
Sized first, capped, on the batch tier in the workspace's overnight window. /sled resume pulls the delivered result back in.
The platform key inside a per-seat allowance the org set. The policy chose it; the audit log says so.
The wall line that knows the task.
The estimate says what is left; the seat's bars say where the crossing is. When the two meet inside the horizon, sleds says so before you start: "$6 more; you will cross at 3:40 pm." When a teammate is idle or the batch tier fits, the hand-off is parked before the wall, with the snapshot, and the board is updated.
Illustrative numbers for one seat on one afternoon. Your forecast comes from your own bars and your own estimate.

Work whose worth keeps until morning runs at half price.
An overnight job is sized first and capped. It runs your own agent headless on the batch tier in the workspace's window. One question at 11 pm used to stall a job until 9 am; the musher works down a ladder so the queue drains, and every decision lands in the PR body with its reason.

The event reaches you where you are. Never a screen you have to open.
Bars, credits and the reset on the line. At the wall the exits arrive before your next prompt, and /sled 1–6 answers them.
The seat line per pane, a ring at the wall, and the sidebar block that mirrors the extension.
Hand-offs, walls and digests in the channel or a DM; the extension shows your meter and parks a hand-off in two clicks.
The same verbs answer in a paragraph: intake, estimate, dispatch, status, hand off, pick up.
Priced before. Receipted after.
